Marisa Cardinale has been a Fine Arts Consultant since 1995.  Beginning in 1983 she was Director of the Civilian Warfare Gallery, and in 1986 joined the American Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR) as Director of Special Events.  She co-founded ACRIA (then the Community Research Initiative on AIDS, CRIA) in 1990 and served as its first Executive Director.  Ms. Cardinale was an early member of ACT-UP and its Treatment and Data Committee, and has been on the Board of the LAVA Dance Company since 2001.
