Adam Lippes is the CEO and Creative Director of the clothing company ADAM.  After graduating from Cornell University, he worked at Polo Ralph Lauren, moving in 1996 to Oscar de la Renta.  He was Creative Director there from 1999 to 2003, the youngest person in his industry to hold such a distinction.  In 2004 he launched his own clothing line, then called Adam + Eve.  Since that time, the business has expanded from a luxury basics line into a larger sportswear collection for men and women.  In August 2007, Mr. Lippes was inducted into the Council of Fashion Designers of America. In September of that year he held his first formal runway show during the Spring 2008 New York Fashion Week.  The show was featured the next day on the cover of Women’s Wear Daily, and in December 2007 the first free-standing ADAM boutique was opened in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District.  Mr. Lippes is a past ACRIA Board member.
