Mark Brennan, PhD, Senior Research Scientist, joined ACRIA in 2007 to conduct behavioral research on psychosocial issues affecting persons living with HIV, with a special focus on older adults. With over twenty years of gerontological research experience and more than 50 publications, Dr. Brennan brings considerable expertise in applied research on coping and adjustment to chronic illness in middle and late adulthood. He is a long-time Board member and current President elect of the State Society on Aging of New York and is the primary convener of the Religion, Spirituality and Aging formal interest group of the Gerontological Society of America. Dr. Brennan has been recognized for his research in the field of aging by the Hunter-Brookdale Center on Aging, Pride Senior Network, and the New York State Office for the Aging.
