Mark Milano joined ACRIA as an HIV Treatment Educator in 2001.
Since that time, he has also become Publications Manager, editing ACRIA Update and ACHIEVE and often writing articles for these quarterly publications. Mr. Milano has been involved in HIV education and activism since his arrival in New York in 1987.
He was one of the creators of the first local HIV clinical trials directory, and served as the Coordinator of Experimental Treatment Information for the New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute for eight years. He has been involved in numerous community-based organizations such as ACT-UP, AIDS Treatment Resources, the AIDS Treatment Activist Coalition, and HealthGAP.
