ACRIA Announces Developments within Board of Directors

It is with great pleasure that we announce some exciting new Board developments.

In December 2010, Martha Nelson, Board President, was appointed Editorial Director of Time Inc., the number two editorial executive position at that company and one of the most high-profile roles in the entire publishing industry. In this role, she oversees all titles and editors in the Style & Entertainment Group and the Lifestyle Group.

In January 2011, Board member Alphonso David, Esq., was appointed Deputy Secretary for Civil Rights in the office of incoming New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo, and was therefore required to step down from ACRIA's Board. He had served previously as New York State’s Special Deputy Attorney General for Civil Rights.

Finally, we are proud to announce that Stewart Shining and David Kleinberg have been recently added to our Board. Stewart is a photographer perhaps best known for his portraits of actors and musicians. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation. David Kleinberg is a New York City-based interior designer whose trademark is a modern, understated sensibility, and whose projects are featured in leading shelter titles such as Elle Décor.
