The AIDS Community Research Initiative of America (ACRIA) is a leading community-based HIV research, treatment, and education organization, operating programs both domestically and internationally. Through the support of our donors and other partners ACRIA:
- undertakes drug trials, to get the newest treatments into the hands of the people who need them the most;
- conducts groundbreaking research, to understand better who has HIV and how to keep people living with the disease healthy;
- produces cutting-edge health literacy publications, communicating the newest treatment information in language that both patients and caregivers can understand; and
- trains staff at AIDS service organizations and other community-based groups serving those most at risk in cities large and small across the U.S.
