ACRIA’s menu of health literacy and treatment education booklets provides the most current HIV healthcare and treatment information essential for people living with HIV, their doctors, and caregivers. Content is compiled by experts in the field and edited by ACRIA’s staff to be presented in language that is accessible and easy to understand. Readers are equipped with the knowledge necessary to communicate effectively with their medical providers, participate actively in their own care, and make informed decisions about available treatment options.
There are currently seven treatment education booklets, available in both English and Spanish: Viral Hepatitis & HIV; Managing Drug Side Effects; Understanding Your Lab Results; Clinical Trials Explained; Treatment Issues for Women; HIV Drug Resistance & Resistance Testing; and Older Adults & HIV.
Copies of each booklet are available for download below in PDF. Adobe Acrobat is required to read PDF files. You can download this program at www.adobe.com. You can also request copies by completing the Order Form in the Publications menu at left.
