Free HIV Clinical Trials Trainings
for January through June 2008

The Clinical Trials Education for Non-Medical Providers curriculum is designed as a series of modules that will allow non-physician service providers to discuss clinical trials with their clients.

Some of the goals and objectives for the training:

  • Understand why clinical trials are done
  • Understand how drugs are developed
  • Understand the benefits, risks and challenges of clinical trials
  • Discuss how attitudes affect change
  • Identify ten basic qualities of effective trainers
  • Understand  the basics of how adults learn and how to tailor presentations to meet the diverse needs of adult learners

This is an interactive training where participants will be able to learn about clinical trials and put it into practice by giving teachbacks at the end of the day. This training is open to staff and agency peers.

Register by completing both pages of the application form, and fax it  to the attention of Jack Denelsbeck at 212-924-3936. You can also email Jack at JDenelsbeck@acria.org.
